Sydney Art Space

art workshops and events

Sydney Art space is a supportive, nuturing and fun place for adults and children to make all different types of art, whether that be via coursework, art workshops or one-off events.

Sydney Art Space is the inspiration of multi-form artist and educator Christine Simpson who had the vision of creating an arts education environment that provided quality art courses, quality art tutors and diverse and interesting art events and creative workshops on the Northern Beaches at Mona Vale and also for the larger community.

Being principal educator at The Shed Sculpture Studio for the past 12 years, with a Diploma in Education, and the completion of a Master of Fine Art and Master of Studio Art at Sydney University’s Sydney College of the Arts, Christine Simpson’s acquired arts practice-education knowledge has led to the reality of opening and delivering this quality arts teaching facility.

Sydney Art Space gives people of all ages and stages the ability to develop and enhance their creativity and confidence by learning real skills to begin and/or grow their arts practice in a safe, vital and fun learning environment. Whether it be sculpture, drawing, painting, weaving, stitching, hand building, photography, children’s art and our School Holiday Art Programs there is something for everyone to get inspired and be creative.
